Monetization Eligibility Criteria

There are two types of monetization on Noice:

  • Platform-based monetization: basically, any form of monetization that only involves the creator and Noice (e.g. subscriptions, card pack purchases, avatar cosmetics, other digital goods sold via Noice)
  • Ads revenue share: receiving a cut of the revenue generated by Noice from ads played and viewed from within a creator’s stream

Eligibility for platform-based monetization

A channel is considered eligible for Monetization when, over a 15-day period, it meets the following criteria:

  • The channel owner is 18 years old, or older
  • The channel has actively streamed on 3 or more separate days
  • The channel has actively streamed for 10 or more hours in total
  • The channel has sustained an average of 3 concurrent viewers or higher
  • The channel has obtained 20 or more followers
  • The channel has no active Terms of Service or Copyright violations and has not had any violations in the preceding 90 days
  • It has active channel moderators or has Automod enabled
  • It has published channel rules in the Channel Bio section of their Channel Details page

Once a channel is eligible for Monetization, the following conditions must also be met before the channel can be enabled for monetization. 

  • The channel owner has confirmed and agreed to the terms of the Monetization Agreement
  • The channel owner has provided identity and tax information as required for payout, and has onboarded onto our payment platform
  • The channel owner must not be in one of the countries where monetization is not allowed (listed below):
    Afghanistan
    Belarus
    Cuba
    Iran
    Liberia
    Libya
    North Korea
    Russia
    Somalia
    South Sudan
    Sudan
    Syria
    Venezuela
    Yemen

Eligibility for ads revenue share

A channel will only be eligible for receiving revenue share on ads when it meets the following criteria:

Losing monetization privileges 

Automatic loss of monetization eligibility

A channel will automatically lose its monetization privileges

  • If it is suspended from Noice for a violation of our Terms of Service that is sustained on appeal
  • If it is has 2 or more unexpired copyright points
  • If the channel owner becomes a candidate for political office
  • If the channel violates any of the additional guidelines for monetization, below
  • It is otherwise determined to be in breach of the Monetization Agreement or Noice Terms of Service
  • If the channel owner deletes their channel, account, or requests a GDPR data deletion

Loss of platform-based monetization 

Subject to human review, a user may lose platform-based monetization privileges on their channel under the following circumstances:
